TERROR ATTACKS IN LONDON SATURDAY 3rd  JUNE 2017On Saturday night, 3rd June 2017, several attacks took place in the London Bridge and the London Borough Market areas. Although the attacks were reported unlinked at the time, they have been now classified as acts of terror due to ongoing investigation and efforts by the Metropolitan Police. As a result, 7 persons lost their lives and 3 of the attackers were shot dead by the London Police.

UK THREAT LEVEL LOWERED TO SEVERE!!The UK Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre (JTAC) has decided to reduce the terror threat level from 'Critical' (imminently expected) to 'Severe' (highly likely). The decision was announced by the UK Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Theresa May, following her meeting with the UK Government's emergency committee, Cobra, due to the recent activity of the UK police in apprehending persons involved in the terror network responsible for the Manchester attacks.

UK THREAT LEVEL RAISED TO CRITICAL!!!!The High Commission informs that the UK Terror Threat Level has been raised to 'Critical'. Bahamians residing and studying in the UK are urged to keep aware of their surroundings and to practice safety when using the transport system and/or in their day to day activities in the various UK cities.
