Bahamas High Commissioner participates in Women's World Day of Prayer in London
Women's World Day of Prayer is a global, ecumenical movement of Christian women joined together to observe a common day of prayer. It aims to provide an opportunity for women to learn about each other and prayer for one another. It is a time to reunite with God and one another to strengthen spiritual bonds. Prayers for women everywhere create a spiritual network of empathy and understanding between Christian women. Thousands of women (and men) gather to pray on this day. Although the essential purpose of the day is for prayer, the day can also provide women with an opportunity to strengthen their ties with other Christian women as they pray together.
This year the event was celebrated on 6 March and was celebrated with and for the Women from The Bahamas under the theme, ‘Jesus said to them: “Do you know what I have done to you?”
