Presentation of Credentials by H.E. Eldred Bethel to the President of the Hellenic Republic

On Tuesday 4 June 2013, H.E. Eldred Bethel, presented his formal Letters of Credence to His Excellency Karolos Papoulias, President of the Hellenic Republic, accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas to the Hellenic Republic, with residence in London.

Ambassador Bethel presented his Letters of Credence during a ceremony at the Presidential Mansion in Athens, the official residence of the President of the Hellenic Republic.  Ambassador Bethel was accompanied by Mr. Michael Guy, Second Secretary/Vice Consul, Embassy of The Bahamas London.

During the Ambassador's visit to Greece he paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Jorge Alejandro Mastropietro, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador of the Argentine Republic; and on Ambassador Mr. Alexis Cogevinas, Head of the Caribbean/Latin American Division, Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs.  Ambassador Bethel also took the opportunity to tour the Panathenaic Stadium in Athens and the Acropolis Museum accompanied by a representative of the Greek Ministry of Culture and Mr. Stylianos Anastopoulos, Honorary Consul for The Bahamas in Greece.
