Presentation of Credentials by H.E. Eldred Bethel to the President of the French Republic

On Friday 22 February 2013, H.E. Eldred Bethel, presented his formal Letters of Credence to His Excellency Francois Hollande, President of the French Republic, accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas to the French Republic, with residence in London.

Ambassador Bethel presented his Letters of Credence during a ceremony at the Elysée Palace in Paris, the official residence of the President of the French Republic.  Ambassador Bethel was accompanied by Mr. Michael Guy, Second Secretary/Vice Consul, Embassy of The Bahamas London.

During the Ambassador's visit to France he paid a courtesy call on Karin Mallet Gautier, Area Manager for France, Belgium, French Speaking Switzerland, Spain and Portugal at The Bahamas Tourist Office in Paris; and on S. Exc. Mgr Luigi Ventura, Apostolic Nuncio and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, at the Apostolic Nunciature of the Holy See (Vatican City) in Paris on Thursday 21 February 2013.  Ambassador Bethel also took this opportunity to meet with Bahamian nationals living in Paris and Mr. Claude Le Gris, Bahamas Honorary Consul in France.
