Tax Information Exchange Agreement between the Governments of the Commmonwealth of The Bahamas and Malta

The Bahamas High Commission is pleased to announce that today, in London, an Agreement for the Exchange of Information Relating to Tax Matters was signed between the Governments of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas and Malta.

The Agreement was signed on behalf of The Bahamas by His Excellency Mr. Paul H Farquharson, Q.P.M, High Commissioner, and on behalf of Malta by His Excellency Joseph Zammit Tabona, High Commissioner.

The Bahamas has now concluded twenty-nine (29) Agreements, thereby, expanding its legal framework for the implementation of the agreed international standards for transparency and effective exchange of information.

The Commonwealth of The Bahamas and Malta are both members of the OECD Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information.
